The West Allis Wolves will enter its second year of competitive youth baseball and softball club and we are looking for young athletes to compete against surrounding community teams in the WSYBL (Boys state League) and the MGFL (Girls) as well as in weekend tournaments in 2013. The club, under the auspices of the WA –WM Recreation Department, is looking to field teams on the boys side from ages 9-14 and on the girls side from ages 9-17. Our goal is teaching boys and girls fundamental baseball and softball skills in a competitive setting, while making sure enjoyment is a huge part of each game and practice.
Tryouts for the 2013 teams will be held at West Allis Hale, the dates and times are listed below:
Girls 10U & 12U (Ages 9-12) – Saturday August 18th from 9:00-11:00AM (registration at 8:30)
Girls - Age as of Dec. 31, 2012 determines what age a player is eligible to play in 2013.
Girls 14U & 16U (Ages 13-17) – Saturday August 18th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM (registration at 10:30)
Boys U9-U12 (Entering grades 3rd through 6th) – Saturday August 18th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM (registration at 12:30)
Boys U13-U14 (Entering grades 7th & 8th) – Saturday August 18th from 3:00 to 5:00PM (registation at 2:30)
Raindate for all tryouts will be Sunday August 19th at the times listed above. Note - 8 year-olds will be considered for the u9 (boys) and 10U (girls) teams.
