Greenfield's Kressin wins strength, conditioning honor
Loryn Kressin of Greenfield won the All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Kressin, who attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School and now is at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was selected by Whitewater assistant track and field coach Josh Ireland.
"Loryn is a prime example of where hard work gets you," Ireland said. "She is a great student and has made vast improvements in the weight room and on the track. She came here as a freshman vaulting nine feet and broke our indoor school record by vaulting 11 feet, 3¾ inches. Her strength levels have improved in the same fashion.
"She was named team captain for this year's squad by the way she helps her teammates and how much of a hard worker she is."
