Adam Cosson, a West Allis Hale graduate, was named the Cardinal Stritch University athlete of the week after leading the Wolves in two men's volleyball dual victories. Stritch beat Siena Heights (Mich.).

Number of years since the West Allis Hale girls basketball team swept West Allis Central in a season. The Huskies, who beat Central, 47-32, on Jan. 29 to complete the sweep, last accomplished that in 2002-03.

Six area wrestlers captured conference championships on Saturday: Tere White (113 pounds) and Dylan Diebitz (160) of West Allis Central, Dallas Wanta (220) and Ryan Vankerkvoorde (heavyweight) of West Allis Hale and Anthony Senthavisauk (106) and Zach Barnhart (170) of Whitnall.
