West Allis - The winning streak continued for the West Allis Nighthawks last week.

West Allis swept a doubleheader from North Shore, 6-0 and 9-7, in the Land O' Lakes Eastern Division on Sunday. The Nighthawks improved to 7-4, good for third place behind leader Muskego and New Berlin.

Jon Mann hurled the shutout, allowing just five hits and striking out 12. Ryan Welch went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs batted in, while Joel Hoberg was 4-for-5 with an RBI, Andy Schwall 1-for-3 with an RBI and Ian Malmstadt 2-for-4.

In the other game, John Stetzenbach and Schwall each totaled two hits and two RBIs and Welch and Cuyler Franzke each one RBI. Franzke also picked up the victory on the mound.

The Nighthawks, who have won four straight Lakes games, are now off from league play until July 11 at Racine.
