Jake Hodel claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 5.94 seconds at the Shorewood Invitational on Saturday.
The 200 freestyle team of David Monteilh, Hodel, Jack Larson and Ben Hinson finished third with 1:37.42 and fourths were taken by Nick Bell in diving with 334.05 points, Hinson in the 50 freestyle at 23.89 seconds and the 200 medley team of Hinson, Hodel, Larson and Monteilh at 1:49.26.
The Falcons tallied 194 points for sixth place in the 10-team field, which was led by Brookfield's 417 points.
"We had a few good swims, but our main goal was to get the meet experience," head coach George Guddie said.
The Falcons lost a Woodland Conference dual to New Berlin, 93-77, on Jan. 9.
Rick Perez won the 100 backstroke in 55.72 seconds and swam with Ross Rybakowicz, Andrew Staszak and Adam Fleischhacker to capture the 200 freestyle relay with 1 minute, 31.32 seconds at the Kenosha Bradford Invitational on Saturday.
Earning seconds were Liam Duffy in diving (355.45 points), Perez in the 200 individual medley (1:59.75), Fleischhacker in the 50 freestyle (23.19), Rybakowicz in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.91) and the 200 medley relay of Perez, Rybakowicz, Joe Hannah and Fleischhacker (1:43.98).
Greenfield/Greendale scored 401 points for fourth place in the nine-team field.
CENTRAL BOYS BB
Some strong defense helped the Bulldogs sweep two games last week.
They beat Brookfield East, 54-49, on Friday night after allowing only 15 first-half points. Jaquan Martin tallied 11 points, Ron Turkvan 10, Jerome Cummings nine and Brandon Key seven.
The Bulldogs really turned on the defense in a 38-35 victory over New Berlin West on Jan. 8. Key scored 11 points and Martin 10.
Central moved to 2-4 in the Greater Metro Conference and 7-5 overall.
The Falcons won two dual meets last week, downing Greendale, 41-24, on Jan. 10 and South Milwaukee, 40-30, on Jan. 9.
Posting pins against the Panthers were Anthony Senthavisauk at 106 pounds, Blake Leslie at 126, Ryan Olson at 152 and Zach Barnhart at 170.
Getting pins in the South Milwaukee dual were Senthavisauk (113), Joe Price (120), Dylan Kellner (132) and Michael Langenohl (195).
Whitnall hosts the Zelinski Memorial Duals at 8 a.m. this Saturday.
GREENFIELD BOYS BB
Sonnie Wilbert tallied 18 points, Ricky Santiago 16, Josh Czerwinski 15 and Travis Reszcynski 12 as the Hustlin' Hawks downed St. Francis, 72-58, on Jan. 8.
Greenfield then lost, 62-51, to Brown Deer on Friday despite 17 points from Santiago, 16 by Reszcynski and eight from Wilbert.
The Hawks came into this week at 6-6 in the Woodland Conference and 6-8 overall.
HALE BOYS BB
A 47-23 margin in the second and third quarters lifted the Huskies to a 66-49 victory over Union Grove on Jan. 8.
Derrick Waller scored 23 points, Noel Crabtree 14 and Nick Sotiros 10 and Hale committed just five turnovers.
The Huskies then lost to Menomonee Falls, 53-46, on Friday. Waller collected 19 points, but Hale shot just 30 percent from the floor and 40 percent at the free throw line (8-of-20).
Hale went to 1-5 in the Greater Metro Conference and 7-6 overall.
WHITNALL BOYS BB
A hot New Berlin Eisenhower team was too much for Whitnall in an 80-62 loss on Friday.
The Lions built a 59-41 advantage after three quarters in snapping the Falcons' seven-game winning streak. Danny Weymier tallied 20 points, Mitch Brault 14 with four 3-point field goals and Sam Mentkowski 13 points for Whitnall.
Whitnall downed Waterford, 58-38, on Jan. 8 behind 25 points from Weymier and 14 by Austin Hurst.
The Falcons moved to 7-3 in the Woodland Conference and 9-4 overall.
The Huskies went 4-1 in a dual tournament at Elkhorn on Saturday, beating Germantown, Clinton, Beloit Memorial and Kenosha Bradford and losing to the host school.
"We wrestled very well and came away with some big individual wins," head coach Randy Ferrell said.
The junior varsity went to Racine Case the same day and Simo Gruichich won the 120-pound weight class with a 3-0 mark. Overall, the Huskies had six wrestlers finish in the top six.
HALE GIRLS BB
Rachel Seefeldt tallied 12 points, but the Huskies fell to Menomonee Falls, 49-26, on Friday night.
Hale also lost to Nicolet, 42-29, on Jan. 7. Sarah Mueller totaled 10 points and seven rebounds, while Seefeldt also had 10 points, Katie Swofford eight rebounds, Rachel Milani four assists and Marissa Rechlicz three steals.
The Huskies slipped to 2-4 in the Greater Metro Conference and 3-8 overall.
CENTRAL GIRLS BB
The Bulldogs lost to Brookfield East, 59-34, on Friday night in a Greater Metro Conference contest.
Bria Brown tallied 11 points and rebounded well, said head coach Dena Smith, and Ashley Alvarado put in seven points.
Central fell to 0-6 in the GMC and 1-10 overall.
WEST ALLIS SWIMMING
The Wave took the first three spots in diving in a Greater Metro Conference dual meet against Menomonee Falls/Sussex Hamilton on Jan. 10.
Sam Lustig tallied 222.05 points for first place, while Kyle Tubbs had 161.6 for second and Devin Deering 148.45 for third.
Sam Michalski won the 50 freestyle at 24.68 seconds for West Allis, which lost the dual, 121-53.
The team fell to Menomonee Falls/Germantown, 132.7-118.55, in a dual on Jan. 9.
Sydnee Thomzak won the all-around with 33.525 points for West Allis.
