Bowmen sponsor shoot on Labor Day weekend
The West Allis Bowmen's annual Safari Shoot will be held over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-3, at 11601 County Trunk G in Franksville.
The club's trademark homemade 3-D safari animal targets will be featured in this event. The club has about 85 families with over 150 archers, with skills ranging from beginner and youth archers to bow-hunters and professional archers.

Gonzales to compete at UW-Stevens Point
Alex Gonzales, a West Allis Central graduate, will continue his collegiate track and cross country career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Gonzales, a national qualifier for the NAIA and a top finisher in the indoor 3K and 5K races, transferred for this fall season.
