West Allis - A trio of losses, including two to Brookfield Central, ended the Greater Metro Conference baseball season for West Allis Central last week.
The Bulldogs fell to the Lancers, 11-2, on July 2 in the regular-season finale and 10-1 in GMC consolation tournament play on July 3. They also dropped a 4-3 decision to Wauwatosa East on July 5.
In the first game against Brookfield Central, Michael Manlick and Josh Neary each totaled two hits, while Jason Alvarez doubled and Dane Travers also had a hit.
In the July 3 outing, Victor Perea went 2-for-2 for the Bulldogs, who finished with just four hits.
Central wound up 4-16 for 11th place in the GMC regular-season standings and went 4-22 overall during the regular season. The Bulldogs started WIAA tournament action against Whitnall on Tuesday. If they win, they would play either Greenfield or Greendale on Friday in a regional championship game.
