Police searching

for bank robber

West Allis police are still seeking the man who robbed a bank in the 8000 block of National Avenue about 12:45 p.m. Jan. 9.

The man passed a note to a teller demanding money. He placed a black plastic bag on the counter and the employee put cash from the drawer into the bag. The offender then left.

His race is unknown, but he is described as between 25 and 30 years old, thin, and wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, white gloves and black ski mask.

A woman pushing a stroller with a small child in the area may have seen something helpful, so police are also looking for her. She is blond with a fair complexion and was wearing a white jacket with blue sleeves and bright-colored gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Allis Police Department at (414) 302-8000 and ask for the detective bureau.
