Woman overdoses on friend's methadone

West Allis - A 22-year-old West Allis woman suffered a drug overdose after ingesting between 40 and 50 milligrams of methadone at a residence in the 11000 block of West Greenfield Avenue about 9 a.m. Nov. 28.

According to a West Allis police report:

The woman was found unresponsive, exhibiting a weak pulse and choking. The woman allegedly took the methadone from a friend without his permission.

A 36-year-old West Allis man told police he woke up and found his methadone box was unlocked and some of the liquid was missing.

The woman was resuscitated and transported to Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital.

Armed man robs tavern, patrons

West Allis - An armed robbery took place at Johnny Hammers tavern, 6300 W. Lincoln Ave., about 1 a.m. Nov. 23.

According to a West Allis police report:

A thin man with a white bandanna covering his face entered the tavern and displayed a handgun. He forced several patrons to the floor and robbed them of their wallets. The suspect also forced the bartender to empty the cash register. The robber obtained several hundred dollars and a handful of credit cards. He then fled in an unknown direction.
