Kwik Pantry robber waited for customers to leave

A man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from Kwik Pantry, 5631 W. National Ave, at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 13.

According to a West Allis police report:

The man waited for customers to leave the store before going inside. He approached employees and implied that he was armed, holding what appeared to be a weapon under his hooded sweatshirt. The man fled on foot after robbing the store. The suspect was described as a short white or Hispanic man with short dark hair and some facial hair, and weighing about 230 pounds.

Woman pushed down, robbed of purse

A 78-year-old Milwaukee woman was pushed to the ground and robbed of her purse in the parking lot of Kmart, 6900 W. Greenfield Ave., about noon Sept. 16.

According to a West Allis police report:

A man approached the woman and attempted to take her purse from her shopping cart. He walked away and approached the woman again and pushed her over, taking her purse containing debit cards, keys and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled and met up with another man. The woman was transported to Aurora West Allis Medical Center, suffering a small cut to her nose and a swollen wrist.
