Churches to hold Easter family events

Two churches will host separate Easter fun events over the next two weekends.

An Easter egg hunt for children 12 years old and younger will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5500 W. Greenfield Ave. For information, call (414) 384-9200.

The Circle of Serbian Sisters Easter Bake Sale will be held Saturday, April 11, at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral Cultural Center, 3201 S. 51st St. The sale will include homemade cakes, tortes, doughnuts and apple and cheese strudels. For information, call (414) 545-4080.

Hearty breakfast meals topic of rec class

Staci Joers will serve up "Breakfast Anytime," a West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Department program showcasing dishes great for breakfast or dinner, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the Parkway Recreation Center, 2930 S. Root River Parkway.

Participants will learn to prepare breakfast lasagna and pizza and country fried steak and black pepper gravy with home fries and grits.

Rec Department hosting egg-citing party

A children's Easter party and an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Frank Lloyd Wright Middle School, 9501 W. Cleveland Ave.

Activities include egg decorating, an egg hunt, face painting and an Easter Bunny visit.

The cost is $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Recreation Center, 2930 S. Root River Parkway.
