Leslie Gilbert and Jason Baumeister of Galveston are planning a January 2012 wedding.
Parents of the couple are Pat and Sandy Gilbert of College Station, Texas, and Tom and Karen Baumeister of West Allis.
The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in marine biology in 2007 and her master's degree in fish sciences in 2010 from Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas. She works as a continuing education lecturer for Texas A&M University.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of West Allis Nathan Hale High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2005. He is the director of engineering for SnapStream Media Inc. in Houston, Texas.
