West Allis — Police are investigating a string of burglaries in which at least 10 businesses were hit early Saturday along the Highway 100 corridor.
Police Capt. Charles Padgett said the burglaries occurred between 1:30 and 4 a.m. from the 1000 block to the 2800 block of Highway 100, also known as 108th St.
In each instance, Padgett said, the perpetrator broke through a glass window at the business and then tried to get into a cash register inside.
Investigators have not yet determined how much money was taken.
No suspects are in custody.
