Residents may place yard waste materials such as flowers, vines, weeds, thatch, garden debris and leaves into the curb line of the street for collection from Sunday, April 3, through Sunday, April 17, 2016. Any and all veterans interested in riding the trolley in the City of West Allis Memorial Day parade should contact Ald. Dan Roadt at (414) 321-7264. The parade is Monday, May 30, at 10:00 am.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (https://www.facebook.com/WisDOT/) is going to be hosting a "Transportation Fair" on Monday, February 29, from 4pm to 7pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
WisDOT will have their Zoo Interchange 3-D model, literature, and staff at City Hall to answer questions about upcoming ramp closures.
The following ramps will be closed in 2016:
Oklahoma Avenue Northbound entrance ramp closed March 1 to April 1,
National Avenue Northbound exit ramp closed March 1 to April 1,
National Avenue Northbound entrance ramp closed April 1 to November 1,
Lincoln Avenue Northbound entrance ramp closed April 1 to November 1,
Greenfield Avenue Northbound entrance ramp closed April 1 to November 1,
84th Street Eastbound exit ramp closed through early summer,
84th Street Eastbound entrance ramp closed through early summer, and
70th Street Eastbound exit ramp closed through early summer.
