The world is right again.
Hmmm, seemed like something has been happening in the State Fair Park area, but I can't put my finger on it. What could it be?
Saturdays during the State Fair can get pretty hectic in the neighborhood. There seems to be two completely separate sets of clientele on Saturdays.
The five cars parked today were the result of grit and determination. I turned off of 92nd St onto Orchard, and there seemed like plenty of street parking spots available, and only one guy down the block was making the effort to fill his yard.
Well, I finally made it to the State Fair this year... and let me tell you how lucky we are to have gotten the break in the humidity in time! We left home around 12:30 PM completely energized by the weather. If we could just bottle this day....
This is one of those "not a lot to say" days.
It seemed like half the people that were parking in my yard yesterday were headed to the Whitesnake concert. The other day, I parked a disturbing number of people in cowboy hats and brand new cowboy boots. Tonight looks to be more of the same.
First, a haiku...
I really tried to stay away from going overboard on the car parking stories this year. I made sure to mention them in every post, but in re-reading some of my posts from years gone by, I notice that some of them go on and on about a day in the life of a car parker.
I apologize for being a day late with this... a bit of a State Fair hangover.
