Day 2 - State Fair Blog done (Sponsor's Name Here)-style
Rain, rain. Go away. Now, dammit.
You know, its funny. It doesn't rain in Milwaukee for three months, AND there has only been one 90 degree day in 2008 and 2009 combined. So what happens this weekend? 3" of rain from Friday night to Saturday afternoon, which ushers in opressive heat and humidity, bookended by the threat of more storms on Monday.
And with the rain comes low attendance days at the State Fair. We parked three cars during the day (before the storms hit) but the evening held an eerie calm in the neighborhood. So I don't have a lot to talk about the mood of Fairgoers, or competition in the neighborhood for parking spots, or anything else bloggable.
But today should be better. As I post this, the rain has just about ended, and with the temps in the mid-90s tomorrow, I think that today's attendance will be quite high.
We hope, at least.
