Have enough fans jumped off the bandwagon so that I can fit again?

Brewers players, Milwaukee Brewers, Nutjobs

Considering that your Milwaukee Brewers made the playoffs for the first time in 26 seasons, I am genuinely crushed that I can't talk reasonably and rationally about the team this week.  From "They suck" to "Their horrible" to "They suck", it seems to be the only conversation I can have about the Brewers this week.

First the set-up...  I have a week or so of vacation days left and three months in which to use them.  So when it was announced that the Brewers were playing Wednesday afternoon, I immediately took a half-day vacation and invited everybody that I knew that fit into one of these categories:

  1. Unemployed
  2. Retired
  3. Work from home
  4. Worker bees with possible vacation time to burn

Another Professional Bowlers Association season is upon us

Bowling, PBA Tour, Television, USBC Masters, YouTube

I was going to bore everybody with a preview of this 50th anniversary PBA season.  There are significant format changes, a local player (Chad Kloss) back on tour as an exempt player for a second year, and Milwaukee losing not only is tour stop, but the stop was a "Major" tournament to boot.  As a matter of fact, I wrote numerous update pieces during the USBC Masters qualifying at this point last season.

As I was mentally outlining my preview, it occured to me.... nobody cares, otherwise Milwaukee wouldn't be a FORMER stop on the PBA Tour.  So I cobbled this together instead.  Lots of fun... Enjoy!

James family, My-Sugar-Na, Nostalga, Vier Pogo Squad 51, West Allis

I am trying to like my kids more (today, at least).

When I was growing up, the worst thing about a cold day for trick-or-treat was having to wear a big winter coat over that wonderful Superman costume that had been handcrafted by some machine in China and purchased at the Chase Avenue K-Mart.  As I grew up, that is one of those images that is kind of depressing.... some parent spent good money on a cosutme - or worse, put hours and hours of love and care into a costume - that would be hidden by a jacket and mittens.

We tricked, we treated, we laughed, we cried...

2008 Presidential Race, Barack Obama, James family, John McCain, My-Sugar-Na, Nostalga, Taxes, Vier Pogo Squad 51, West Allis

The thousands of you - well, make that the 18 of you that actually read my blog post from last week - may be wondering how the pre-Hallowe'en weekend worked out.  Well, do I have a story for you...

Thursday evening, (Sponsor's Name Here)'s Official Baby Brother, St. Jon, called with another potential doin' for the weekend.  I had forgotten that Downtown West Allis was holding its Meet & Treat from 10:00 AM to Noon on Saturday along W. Greenfield Ave.
