A good portion of our lives is spent at the workplace and working at home. Globalization has taken “do more with less resources” to a new level. Using my career experiences, observations, and education, I will bring real-life scenarios of the Trilogy: Career, Management, and the Workplace to you for interactive dialogue and commenting. Work-life balance is not an easy feat. The goal of my blog is to dive into trilogy challenges we see and face as well as provide realistic approaches to move forward.

The Purpose and the Meaning...
I have, for almost my entire life, dedicated myself, my time, and personal assets to fundraising efforts either of my own creation or in support of others hosted by friends. Those of you close to me know I do not create events without a deep purpose and meaning behind them. The Homes for Our Troops bowling tournament, being held on May 17, 2014, is no different.
The purpose…HFOT is the positive side for our severely injured veterans with missing limbs, varying levels of paralysis, and traumatic brain injury. The negative side, all too often and not spoken about much, is suicide and / or lifelong mental illness. Knowing over 90% of proceeds raised for and by the Homes for Our Troops organization function as a direct support for adaptive, veteran housing has given me the confidence to support them. In addition, it enables our veterans a light of hope at what may have once seemed a very dark tunnel of abnormality.
The deeper meaning…the Homes for Our Troops bowling tournament is and always will be in loving memory of Maddy, who at 15 years of age, gave herself a final resting place. She had aspirations to go into the Army and loved the game of bowling. To help provide emotional support to her family and to carry on her tremendous giving spirit, we created the 9-Pin Tap Singles Bowling Tournament to benefit Homes for Our Troops.
We need “the good, which comes out of it” to be the focus of any tragic situation. Please find it within yourself to participate, pass on the information to all your friends and family, and attend our fantastic fundraising event.
