We, the West Allis Players, are hoping to turn back the clock -- at least musically -- this summer. "All Shook Up" is a fantastic show, based on the music of Elvis Presley. The story itself is loosely based on Shakepeare's "Twelfth Night." Set in 1955 in a small town, "All Shook Up" tells the story of a girl wanting to leave town until an exciting, motorcycle-riding mysterious young man shows up needing bike repair. The plot involves secret identities, a town awakening to romance and 23 great songs.
Our auditions are at 7 p.m. May 27 and 28 and the show will run at 7:30 p.m.July 18, 19, 25 and 26. There will also be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on July 27. We also need backstage help and a costume coordinator. Please call 327-2388 for more details
We know that summer is short and that everyone's entertainment dollars only go so far. We really appreciate all the support you have shown our group and hope you continue to come and see our shows.

Our West Allis Players website had the wrong dates for the auditions for "All Shook Up" -- and since I took the dates from there... well, you get the picture.
At any rate, the CORRECT dates are 7 p.m. May 19 and 20. Our director, Mary Beth Topf, is looking for a large cast ages 16 and older. You need to prepare one verse of any song and come dressed for movement.
If you google "All Shook Up" you will get a decent synopsis of the show and a list of the songs.
If you are interested in coming to see the show -- fantastic! We open on July 18! More details to follow.
Our board meets next week to plan out our 2008-2009 season. This is where the fun begins for us -- deciding which stories to bring to life. We hope you like our choices.
