He was on a private back deck that is not visible form the street or alleyway. Our neighbor witnessed a Hispanic (? - dark olive skin) male, around 30, stocky build, curly shoulder length hair with gel in it, medium height, wearing a black t-shirt - sneak between our two houses. He jumped up on the side of the deck, lean...ed over the railing. Briggs went over to him and he grabbed him, jumped down and went back to the alley where he had a car waiting. Our neighbor was unable to see the car as our garage blocked her view and the car headed north. This happened very quickly.
Our screen door was open and my husband was just inside. We also are armed. This person who took our dog took a VERY BIG RISK. Our thoughts (and hopes) are that he was motivated by money and had a buyer willing to pay and that Briggs is in a home where he was wanted. Yes, there are many alternatives to that and we don't want to think about it. We will keep going until we find him. And hopefully stop this going on around the city.
Please watch your pets! This is very real and it IS happening elsewhere.
