The smells of the season
These favorites of mine aren't done in any particular order. I have a few ideas of topics I think I'll use, but others are coming to mind as the days go on. This is one of those.
December 23rd's Favorite Thing - That pine smell when you bring home a new, fresh Christmas tree.
Kind of self explanatory. It smells like Christmas. Duh. However, the sap that sticks to your fingers for the next 18 hours after you get the tree in the house, then in the tree stand, and then a second time because the first time ended up crooked gets pretty annoying (then again, that might have something to do with having to wrestle the tree in the stand... twice.)
Speaking of Christmas smells, you know those little log cabin things, where you put the incense in the chimney and when you light it, it makes everyone sick after about five minutes? I like those too.
On the First Day of Christmas, my favorite thing is - Baseball's Hot Stove League
On the Second Day of Christmas, my favorite thing is - A handful of chopped pecans
On the Third Day of Christmas, my favorite thing is - Memories of my past
On the Fourth Day of Christmas, my favorite thing is - Jim Steinman lyrics
On the Fifth Day of Christmas, my favorite thing is - Christmas tree smell
